Nele Hecht is a German-British filmmaker, who started out as a camera assistant and later moved on to directing. Amongst short films, ads and promos she has directed a short drama episode for Channel 4 - Coming Up, a scheme for new directors and writers, as well as the German part of a documentary episode for BBC and Blink Films.

Nele graduated with an MA in Fiction Directing from the National Film and Television School (UK) and built upon her writing skills at the Master School Drehbuch (Berlin). A treatment she developed at the School won the 3rd place at the Günter Rohrbach Drehbuchpreis. As a contributor, she recently took part in the audience:first lab (Drehbuchwerkstatt, München).
